Keeping Our Patients Safe

For Dr. Khorasani and our team, there is nothing more important than the health, safety and comfort of our patients. We understand that concerns about COVID-19 may make you anxious. Don’t let fear keep you from getting the care you need. From continual disinfecting to strict social distancing measures, our team has put stringent protections in place to keep all of our patients and staff as safe as possible.

Upon arrival at our office you can feel confident you are entering a clean facility, where all areas are continually disinfected. All patients and staff are required to wear face masks at all times, with few exceptions, based on the procedure being performed. Patients arriving without a mask will be provided with one. Dr. Khorasani and our staff will wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including face shields.

Social Distancing: We have taken measures such as spacing appointments significantly further apart, reducing in-office staff, and minimizing time (if any) spent in the waiting room.

Isolated Office Hours: While we share our office space with other providers, we will be amending our days in the office to limit the amount of people in the practice at any given time.

Continuous Cleaning: All areas are continuously disinfected, including waiting rooms, exam rooms, and all high-touch surfaces. All exam rooms will be thoroughly sanitized between patients. Plexiglass dividers are now in the reception area, and HEPA filters have been installed.

Virtual Consultations: Not every visit needs to be in-person, so we now utilize telemedicine visits for all initial consultations, and most follow up visits, to limit unnecessary contact in the office.

New Appointment Procedures

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT:

Online Paperwork: Most of your paperwork will be completed online through our patient portal and secure messaging, prior to your appointment.

Virtual Check-In: To reduce your wait time and contact with others in the office, as much of your check-in as possible will be handled electronically before you come in. In addition, our administrative office staff is temporarily working remotely to minimize people in the office.

Covid-19 Testing: Patients having Mohs surgery, certain surgical procedures and some laser treatments will be asked to get Covid-19 tested prior to their appointment. Our office staff will provide you with all of the appropriate information beforehand.

Personal Items: Please bring your own bottle of water with you. We will temporarily be suspending beverage service in the office. Please note, you will not be allowed to eat in the clinic. Patients having Mohs surgery may elect to leave the office between stages to get a snack. Please ensure that your phone is fully charged so that we can communicate with you when we are ready for you.

When you arrive:

Virtual Check-In: When you arrive at the office, you will virtually check in with our office staff to let us know you are here.

Symptom Screening: One of our team members will welcome you, take your temperature with a touchless thermometer, and screen you for COVID-19 symptoms. Patients showing any signs of illness will not be allowed in the clinical area. We ask that you kindly wash your hands upon entrance into the office.

Mandatory Masking: All patients and staff are required to wear a mask or face covering. We will provide you with one, if needed.

No Companions: Unless medically necessary, all patients must come alone. If you are having a procedure that requires assistance getting home, our office will contact your companion to arrive at a designated time to collect you. Our staff will help you outside and safely in the car when your companion arrives.

During your visit:

Social Distancing: We’re minimizing contact between patients by limiting the number of people allowed in the office at all times, limiting the number of patients in the waiting area, and scheduling significantly more time between appointments. Once you have completed the arrival screening, one of our staff members will bring you directly to a sanitized exam room, and you will remain there until your visit has concluded.

Contactless Payment: We are only accepting debit and credit cards at this time. While you are in the office, you will be emailed your invoice, which can be seamlessly paid online using your mobile phone before leaving the exam room.
